CHRISTOPHER
LUNA
Secretary-General
Chris is a senior and this is his second year at BSHS. He has been involved in Model UN since the eigth grade. Chris has attended and seen success at various national conferences including Rutgers (RUMUN), the University of Pennsylvania's Ivy League MUN Conference (ILMUNC), and the National High School Model United Nations Conference (NHSMUN) in New York were he along with the Bay SHore MUN team will be representing Syria. This is Chris' second BSMUNC and first as Secretary General. Besides MUN, Chris is involved in Bay Shore's Mock Trial team and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Candidate. Chris is also a proud member of the French Institute Alliance Franciase in NYC. Chris is passionate about international affairs and is excited to be serving as this year's Secretary General.
Fun Fact: Chris was born in Guatemala and lived there until age 11.
MEET ABBY CERVERA
UNESCO Executive Director
Abby is a sophomore at Bay Shore High School and this is her second year on the Bay Shore Model UN team. Abby also enjoys playing doubles on the tennis team, and playing as an attorney for the Bay Shore Mock Trial team. Her faovrite classes are AP World History and AP Computer Science. Outside of school, Abby enjoys traveling, reading, and programming. She hopes to one day have a career in international business.
Fun Fact: Abby can sing at a very low tone.

​MEET ELIZABETH McCABE
Under-Secretary-General
Elizabeth is in 11th grade. Ouside of MUN Elizabeth takes part in the mock trial team as an attorney, the field hockey team and the golf team, while also interning at town hall. She also participates in Bay Shore's Interact Club which centers around doing community service for the school and community.
Fun Fact: At the 2013 Irish step dancing world championships her team placed ninth in the world!
MEET KWAKU OWUSU
Security Council Executive Director
Kwaku Owusu is a junior at Bay Shore High School. This is his third yar in Model UN and he loves the club. He fells that it gives him a multitude of experiences to work on his public speaking skills and make new friends. This conference is also his very first time chairing and is very excited for the experience. In addition to Model UN, Kwaku participates in many in-school activites such as the Trivia Team, Choir, Band and Tennis Team. Outside of school, hanging out with his friends, listening to music, and watching new shows on Netflix are some of his favorite things to do. He can't wait for the conference and is hoping that it will be a great day.
Fun Fact: Kwaku is a Math Wiz
​MEET STEPHEN BALSAMO
Star Wars Committee Executive Director
Stephen Balamo is a sophomore at Bay Shore High School. Stephen runs year round in cross country and track and has a deep interest in music. He is in orchestra, chamber orchestra, play the cello as well as outside of school playing the guitar In addition to playing music, he also has a passion for writing and listening to it. He loves to listen to rock music as well as movie soundrack music, of which genre he writes respectively in his music theory class and at home. When he's not doing anything musical or running he is "Model UN-ing". Although he is not involved in too many clubs besided Tri-M and chamber orchestra, Model UN more than makes up for that and he has a blast. MUN is his favorite club and he enjoys every second of it.
Fun Fact: Stephen also plays the mandolin (sort of...he's working on it).

DIEGO
COLONA
ECOSOC Director
Diego Colonna is a sophomore. Other than Model UN, Diego enjoys participating in the mock trial team whee he is an attorney. He also enjoys playing a central defenshie midfielder on the school's Boy's Varsity Soccer Team. Outside of school, Diego plays soccer competitively on his club team and has been playing respectvely for many years through state, regional and national level tournaments.
Fun Fact: Diego's favorite music artist is Drake. Diego enjoys listening to his music before a soccer game, while hanging out with friends, or while doing his homework.
​MEET JT SURLIS
Star Wars Committee Executive Director
JT Surlis is a 15 year old sophomore at Bay Shore High School. He is involved in the Mock Trial Team, Trivia Club, and of course the Model UN club. He doesn't play any sports because he is an uncoordinated foofus. His other interests include listening to music, video games and women. His favorite subjects in school are Social Studies and Science. He tries to be personable and make as many friends as he can.
MEET COLIN HANDLEY

Colin is currently a junior at Bay Shore High SChool and he has been a member of the MUN team since thend of his freshman year. Colin compteted alongside his fellow Bay Shore MUN team members at the National High School Model United Nations Conference (NHSMUN) lsat year and is competing again this year. Outside of Model UN, Colin is an attackman on the Bay Shore varsity lacrosse team, and loves spending time with family members and friends. Colin takes multiple finance and business courses and plans to one day work as either a financial advisor or a stock trader.
Fun Fact: Colin has traveled to eight different countries around the world.
